Delete your SmartFeed account

You can permanently delete your SmartFeed account and all associated data at any time. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open SmartFeed and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Tap Delete my account.

No longer have the app installed?

Email feedback@smartfeed.live from the address associated with your SmartFeed account and request deletion. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 7 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, email, and sign-in identifier.
  • Saved articles, tracked subjects, favourited and blocked sources, and all other preferences.
  • Reading activity events and Your Focus statistics.
  • Push notification tokens and any shared conversation links you created.

How long it takes

In-app deletions complete within seconds. Email-based deletion requests are handled within 7 days of verification. After deletion, anonymous backups are retained for up to 30 days before being permanently overwritten.

A note on subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop renewals, cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings before deleting.
